eco prints
in collab with Andalt
Designed by SO for AndAlt organisation- who are also the creators of these eco prints. The prints are made using the natural pigments, tannins and acids present in leaves, by combining them with mordants, moisture and heat on fabric.
cane + raw silk
for Amphi cafe, Pondicherry
Created for a project based in Pondicherry, these lamps are made using a combination of Handwoven cane and Raw silk- producing a perfect modern vibe with natural materials.

Tweaking the nostalgia of every mother's crochet covers for basically everything from table tops to telephones, here are the contemporary forms of crocheted lampshades- all produced locally and handwoven by craftswomen of Pondichery.

Using the rawest material- Jute- to create these grand forms of lamp clusters, thus complementing the grandeur with the humble . Created for the Pondicherry project to be hung in clusters.

This lamp series, crafted by talented local artisans from Pondicherry, are designed with black ropes intricately knotted over a metal frame, creating captivating lamp forms that cast dynamic shadows, transforming any space into a work of art. This series features a diverse range of lamp shapes, each tailored to complement and enhance different environments, offering a perfect blend of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design.

Nakashima
by Bayhauz Design Studio
The iconic designs of George Nakashima, an American woodworker, architect, and furniture maker who worked in Pondicherry in the iconic Golconde building. At Bayhauz, we pay homage to this rich heritage, drawing inspiration from Nakashima’s profound appreciation for natural materials and timeless craftsmanship. Each lampshade embodies the spirit of Pondicherry.
